• Q: What are lapel pins made of?

  Different syles of pins are made from different metals. Most die-struck pions like Hard Enamel, Soft Enamel, and Sandblasted pins are made out of either brass or steel base metal, then plated in your choice of metal finish. Die Cast or 3-D pins are made out of molded Zinc, which is both light weight and extremely durable; then plated to your choice of metal finish.
  

• Q: How are Lapel Pins made?

• Q: What are the most popular lapel pins?

  The most popular pins depend on the circumstance and the design on your pin. Hard Enamel pins are great for corporate recognition, employee awards, city, state, and county recognition and trading.

  Soft Enamel is perfect for trading pins, retail, and really nice brand marketing. Many sports organizations use Soft Enamel pins for game day trading and player recognition. • Q: Who uses Lapel Pins?
  

  Just about everyone has a use for lapel pins (even if they don’t know it yet!). Some pins are a great accent for formal wear, and can be great bridal party gifts. • Q: How do I wear a Lapel Pin and will it damage my clothing?

  Lapel pins worn with formal wear are usually pinned to the left lapel, in the boutonniere position, even with the top of the outside front pocket. You can stick your lapel pins post through the boutonniere hole if you have one, or just punch it right through the material of your lapel. Lapel pins will not damage most clothing if removed slowly and carefully.

• Q: How do I order custom lapel pins?

  First, choose the size and number of pins you want.
  

  Second, fill in the details. Customize every aspect of your order until packaging.

  Third, submit your design. Upload your own work, use our powerful Online Design System, or get help from our professional design team

  Fourth, approve the digital proof before mass production

  Finally, receive your lapel pins.

• Q: Can you make pins if I only have an idea?

  Absolutely, we can help your idea become a reality. Our professional designers can create a design according to your idea to design artwork; then send you a draft of the art design for your confirmation. We won’t start the production until you are satisfied.

• Q: What is your minimum order quantity for lapel pins?

  We don’t have minimum order quantities, you can order from one piece. But we will charge basic mold fee of US$99. The larger the order, the lower your price will be.

• Q: Do you charge mold fees?

  Yes, we charge for the mold. Our mold fees are based on your design, size and quantity to determine the specific cost. You could also choose the options you prefer with our automated quotation system, it will roughly calculate the cost including mold fee for you.

• Q: What is the difference between hard and soft enamel pins?

  - Hard and Soft Enamel Pins, have many similarities. They’re made exactly the same way until it’s time to colorfill. Both styles are die struck out of steel or brass. Die striking leaves indentations where the color lls go, while ensuring that metal lines remain raised to sepoarate colors and add detail. Hard enamel goes on as a powdered polymer and is red in a kiln to set the enamel. Soft enamel is similar to car paint, applies as a liquid, and then baked to dry. Hard enamel is smoother to the touch, soft enamel has more depth in detail, providing tactile feel to your pin.

  - Both syles of pin are hand made, and hand nished. Hard enamel is slightly more expensive than soft enamel.

• Q: Do you offer 50/50 payment?

  Our policy is full payment in advance. Payment arrangements can be made on an individual basis of your very often & big quantity orders.

• Q: What is your turnaround time for art proof, samples, and production for custom pins?

  Our normal procedure is to provide you a proof within 12-24 hours. If you have a meeting coming up and you need your proof faster we can work with you to help out.
  

  Pre-production samples add take 10-12 days to produce and deliver, each item has its own cost for pre-production samples based on size, etc..

  Production time is normally 10-15 days depending on the process involved. We have faster production times to meet emergency needs.

  We also feature longer production times. This allows us a way to schedule jobs around each other in a more efficient manner. For many of our products, choosing longer production times saves you money! Select the different produciton time options to see how it affects your price with discounts available up to 40%.

• Q: Do you offer pictures or video of a sample for approval before mass production?
  

  Yes, we can offer them per request.
  

  Besides regular production time, sample production time of the custom pins needs additional 3-7 working days. For any urgent order, we would have to check for production scheduling and approval rush on a case by case basis.

• Q: How will you ship my order? When will I receive my lapel pins?

  All orders are shipped free to the continental United States and Canada via FedEx. If you need to ship outside the United States or Canada, please contact us for specific shipping rates.

  Once receive your order and approval your sample, we will produce the lapel pins immediately. The delivery time varies from one to four weeks according to the actual situation at that time.

• Q: Do you offer tracking and insurance on your shipments?

  Our prices include free FedEx priority shipping. Tracking will be sent to you once your order is shipped.
  

  We normally do not offer insurance except client’s individual requirements

• Q: Do you guarantee the quality of your lapel pins?

  Every process of production has been strictly inspected, so please feel free to order. If you find any damage, please contact us immediately. You can take those words from our customer, high-quality is completely guaranteed. Learn more about our Terms and Conditions.

• Q: What is your copyright policy on protecting your client's assets and designs?

  Your assets belong to you and we would only use them for your orders. Your designs and molds won't be available or sold to other clients in the future. No one can order your designs or incorporate your elements in their designs. 

  If you request, we will not even use your products in our marketing material. Your molds will be available for your use for up to 2 years.

PART 3 Great Pins Start with Great Designs

• Q: Do you need rough sketches, reference photos, and ideas?

  We can start with your complete design, a rough sketch, or just a good description of how you would like your pins to look. We will provide a digital art proof for you to inspect and either approve the art or use it for a basis for further changes. Once your art is perfect and approved by you, only then will we manufacture your pins.

• Q: In the absence of design ideas, what if I don’t like your designs?

  We are confident that we can creat the exact design you are looking for. If you don’t like any element of your sample design, just let us know and we’ll work together to make sure everything is exactly the way you want it. We have FREE unlimited art revisions! As long as your request is feasable and appropriate for the style of pin you want, we can have your revision back to you in about 12 hours!
  

• Q: Are there any design fees for custom pins?

  All of our design work is FREE! You can send us your design or our professional design team can create one for you exactly to your needs. We wont start producing your pins until you are completely happy with your design.

• Q: Do you give sizing and plating recommendations?

  Yes, please send us your design, and we will show you how your custom pins would look best.
  

• Q: Do you use Pantone or another coloring system?

  We match with Pantone Solid + Coated colors.

• Q: Can you add special processes or options on custom lapel pins?

  If you can dream it, we can create it! We are experts at adding special features to make your design unique. Some of the special additions commonly added to pins are glitter enamels, tassels, hanging chains, synthetic or precious gemstones, sliders, bobble heads, blinking lights, and any other gimmick you can think of!

• Q: Do you offer logo engraving to the backside of custom pins?

  Yes, we do, it will be $0.2 per PC. Usually, we suggest a back stamp; it will be $40 for a onetime fee for all future orders except special designs.

• Q: Do you offer screen printing lapel pins?

  Yes. The setup fee is $30 per color and a run charge added to the unit price of $.08 per color will be added to each unit price.

• Q: What is the epoxy on custom lapel pins?

  Click here to view a video of the difference between having epoxy or not having epoxy custom lapel pins, we showed several pins with epoxy and without epoxy.

  Epoxy is a transparent, smooth and material. It can be added to the surface of a custom lapel pin to giving the surface smooth and bright. Normally, Epoxy is used as a protective layer to prevent your lapel pins from being worn and can be stored and used for a longer time. 

• Q: How to select Phosphor colors for glow inthe dark pins?
